The building is in the commune of Brussels centre - Avenue Louise 54 - close to the small ring. It’s representative of the "post-modern" style. The facades, as well as those of its symmetrical twin - Stephanie 1, clearly affirm the return of the ornament in rupture with functionalism. These two buildings are also included in the inventory of heritage. Unlike the simple and relatively bare facades, the existing lobby has been overloaded with outdated materials and elements with frills. The project tends to restore nobility to this space. The interventions are made in the historical continuity of this remarkable building while updating its "vocabulary". In order to reinforce the interior / exterior continuity while improving the qualities of the space, the mirrored metal sheets covers on the wall are replaced by a gilded Magny stone identical to the facade stone. The existing desk is replaced by a monolithic countertop in raw steel. An elongated shape with very light folds in order to fix the lights, it leads the way of the elevators for the visitors. The desk is crowned with a very aerial and geometric lighting designed by Nathalie Dewez (who designed all the other luminaires of the project). This element occupies the space without altering its perception. It’s part of the broken line of the ceiling and the desk. At both ends of the entrance hall, two long tubes of opaline glass hang from the ceiling. The first, visible from the outside, marks the entrance while the second, identical, identifies the passage to the elevators while strengthening by the light the curve of the wall. The existing molded ceiling is replaced by a new suspended ceiling cut with double geometrically implanted light bands guiding occupants to the upper floors.

The floor landings were unwelcoming, narrow and low ceiling. It was decided to completely cover them with a dark laminate coating giving a sense of depth where each fitting with a new material is carefully studied. These very dark shades also highlight all the bronze motifs drawn by Jules Wabbes. These materials are also found in the new elevator covering.
